David Laycraft

David Laycraft joined the SALTS Board in 2025. He is a partner with Baker Tilly Catalyst LLP, a multi-disciplinary professional services firm that provides accounting, assurance, taxation, business valuation, wealth planning and contract CFO services to its Calgary and Southern Alberta clients.  Dave is an integral part of the Corporate Advisory group, providing business valuation, mergers and acquisition transaction support and succession planning services to owner-manager private companies.  Dave is a Chartered Business Valuator and is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (B. Sc. (Agriculture Economics)) and Santa Clara University (MBA).  He is a former board member of the Agriculture & Food Council of Alberta and currently serves on several committees of Baker Tilly Canada.  A fourth-generation farm kid, Dave is a strong champion of Albertan agriculture and land stewardship.  Dave is married, has two grown daughters and happily calls High River home.
